I am fortunate enough to have heard about the salon through a friend of a friend about 18 months ago and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. From the receptionists to the stylists to the owner, the service is second to none - authentic, appreciative and professional. Stan, the owner of the salon, is my stylist, and is a HAIR GENIUS. No, I'm not exaggerating. My hair is difficult to cut, and I've left salons before nearly in tears (haven't we all). I've had equal disasters in the arena of highlighting - the stylists were RAVING about how it turned out, whereas I thought I looked like a tabby cat. And an ugly one at that.
Conversely, Stan and his staff take time to really listen to what YOU want, what YOU are comfortable with (as opposed to some stylists who think of you as nothing more than a vehicle for their "art"). Stan has made great recommendations for my hair - both cut and color, then executed them flawlessly. You know when you look in the mirror some days and you say, "I love my hair?" - so much so that it crosses your mind to write a thank-you to your stylist? I've had dozens of those days, thanks to Stan, and I'm certain you will too.
Another applaudable aspect of the salon is Stan's commitment to developing his stylist through rigorous, methodical instruction. His students learn the business from the ground up, and are only authorized to accept client appointments once Stan is convinced they can deliver outstanding service. My biggest concern is what happens if Stan decides to retire 20 years from now??? I'm already having flashbacks to the days of the "tabby-do"!

Stan Parente has been involved in my aging process for over 25 years..we've fought the good fight together...He's kept my hairstyle current, and age appropriate with an edge, which is what I'm all about. I have red hair and let's just say I don't come by it naturally but when you have folks stop you and ask about the color and who created it, you know you've found your perfect color..natural or not. Stan has taken alot of time to develop the perfect individual color (I call it THE POTION) and hair style to compliment my changing features (we do change as we age). I must admit -- I "cheated" on Stan twice in the past 20 some years; he always knew, and he never called me on it -- he just "fixed it" -- now that's a perfect relationship....
